Wow, I can't believe it is already the sixth week of the school year! We are having a lot of fun in art class, and kindergarten through fifth grade are getting ready to move onto their second lesson.
Kindergarten and first grade students put the finishing touches on their "Rainbow Fish" by adding a glittery scale to their watercolor paintings. The fish will be swimming out into the hallways of Grimes, Corse, and Black Hawk next week.
Second and third graders are finishing their "Where the Wild Things Are" projects and some of their monsters have already escaped the art room and have made their way around the building! So beware of these intimidating creatures.
Fourth and fifth grade students are in the final stages of their Dessert oil pastels. They are completing the project by using acryilic paint to make the background of their pieces look very neat and clean.
I have included some of the delicious confections from Grimes Elementary.
Stay tuned next week for a preview of Robots, Autumn chalk art, and Mummys...
