Week 11

Halloween was yesterday and the students went all out in their costumes..and they brought me treats!

Kindergarten and first grade finished their robot/butterfly collages this week and next week we are moving on to a new project.  Kandinsky trees... which invovles cutting, gluing, and paint. We will be studying about color in the next few weeks.

Second and third grade are finishing their glue line pumpkin chalk art and should be bringing them home this week or next.

Fourth and fifth grade are also finishing their glue line pumpkin chalk drawings and moving on to a sculpture unit. Be prepared to get messy students!

Most grades did the glue line drawings and they turned out very well! This project was a shorter length of time, which I think the students enjoyed...plus most of them were ready for Halloween.

Petition to parents/guardians: The art room needs your help! If you are willing to volunteer in fourth or fifth grade classes in the next few weeks that would be wonderful. I need volunteers to help me cut plaster bandages and tin foil for students. A warning for those who want to help, you may get messy.

Also...the art room is in need of your extra card board or recyclables..that you have!!!! Thank you!
